pottery

Here are some of the pots I threw at AB-Tech over the past few months. Some are better than others. I wish I could throw more regularly but I don't seem to have enough energy to do everything I ought and should. Let me know if you see one you like.

I like the green too, maybe just because it photographed so well.

The hospital volunteers in Cape accept donated vases that they fill with flowers and sell. Bring a few in July to add to what Mother and I have to donate.

You got it.

Wow, Aaron. Those are nice. How do you get the variation in color, like on the green ones, for instance? If it is too technical, nevermind, but I have thrown and glazed pottery at camp when I was little so I know the basics.
By the way, this is Leslie talking. Although you should know, because Doug didn't ever go to summer camp, did he?

On the contrary, Doug was always at Summer Camp.

I'm not sure why the glazes came out so interesting. They were just normal glazes as far as I know. Perhaps the way they were fired had something to do with it. Perhaps the chemicals used were different from the ones you had at summer camp. I didn't do anything special to the green pots. Some of the pots are actually one glaze over another glaze so that the chemicals interact with each other but the green was just a single coat.
